A minimum residential quarterly bill is based on usage of 9,000 gallons. The current rates are $5.34/1,000 gallons, therefore, the minimum quarterly bill is $48.06. Payment is due upon receipt and if the balance in full is not paid by the 21st, then a 1.5% late charge will be assessed. The late charge and the outstanding balance on your account will be reflected on a Termination Notice mailed that day. Termination of service will occur 18 days after the Termination Notice is mailed. If service is terminated due to nonpayment of the water bill, a $50.00 reinstatement charge will be added to your outstanding balance. Water service will not be reinstated until the outstanding balance on your account and the $50.00 reinstatement charge is paid in full.
All checks returned from the bank will result in a bank charge added to your balance. If the check is written to avoid termination or to reinstate your water service, Saratoga Water Services, Inc. will terminate the service immediately without further notice.
Residential billing is quarterly, and the months that we bill are as follows:
- January 1
- March 1
- April 1
- June 1
- July 1
- September 1
- October 1
- December 1
Residential billing is done on 2 different quarterly cycles. If you wish to find out when your quarterly cycle is, please contact our office and we will be happy to provide that information to you.
Commercial Accounts:
Meter size determines whether the account is monthly or quarterly. Most commercial accounts are billed on a monthly basis.
The water bill contains the following information:
- Invoice Date
- Total Due
- Late Charge Date
- Previous and Current Meter Readings
- Water Charge
- Total Gallons Used
- General Information (on back of bill)
Saratoga Water Services, Inc. will work with you to arrange a Payment Schedule if you are unable to pay your bill. However, please call before termination occurs otherwise the reconnect charge will still be required.
Homeowners who have tenants living at the service address are requested to pass this information on as only the customer of record will receive the bill and Termination Notices.
